Title: Draw an S and give it a melted or dripping paint effect

Description: This tutorial has photoshop tricks to draw any text and give it melted or dripping paint look.

Let's draw an S shape and give it a melted or dripping paint effect. I have create some other cool effects and used various tools. I have used liquify options like bloat tool and forward wrap tool. so follow the tutorial very carefully.

1. First of all open a new document and use width and height equals to 300 pixels and resolution set to 96 as you can see below.

2. Here with the Pen Tool create the shape as shown below. Now Right click and Make Selection. With the Elliptical Marquee Tool create an Ellipse ( with add selection) and then select a New Layer In the Layer window.

3. Now Fill it with the color #558680 or you can choose any other color as per your liking. Now deselect ctrl+D.

4. Here select the background layer and fill it with the black color.

5. With the Polygonal Lasso Tool create S shape.

6. Now fill the Blue color in the S shape and deselect.

7. Now here Select Filter Menu and select Liquify.

8. Now in the Liquify option use Forward Warp Tool, Twirl Clock Tool and Bloat Tool as shown below.

9. Here use Dodge Tool with Brush size = 20, range = shadow and opacity = 60.

10. Now select Filter and then Artistic and select Plastic Wrap from the available options.

11. Use Plastic Wrap settings as Highlight strength = 14, Detail = 11 and Smoothness = 8.

12. Now our Image will look like as shown below. This is really I wanted to show today in this photoshop tutorial but I can show few more tricks so follow me if you like.

13. Now select Layer1, because I want to give tell you few more tricks while I have some time.

14. Double click on Layer1 and select Bevel and Emboss In Layer Style and click ok at Depth = 770 with Size = 5 px and Soften = 16 px.

15. Now select Filter and select Artistic and select Film Grain and click ok at Grain =4, Highlight area = 0 and Intensity = 10.

16. Here with the Rectangular Marquee Tool create a new Rectangle. Select a New layer and fill the rectangle with white color.

Now make 2-3 copies of the Rectangle using ctrl+J as shown below. After you make white rectangles you can make several irregular shapes using Pen tool if you like.
